In this simulation the field is divided into left and right parts. The left half has an impedance of 'Zmean' the right half is 'Zmean/3'. Waves are divided into transmitted and reflected parts when they reach the boundary between the two halves. The reflected wave (left side) is inverted while the transmitted wave is not.
